Project Highlight
This EkoDeck renovation in Coombs transformed the outdoor area into a sleek, practical and low-maintenance space designed for entertaining and everyday living.
The rich brown composite decking brings the warmth of timber without the ongoing upkeep, while integrated privacy screening, clean detailing and thoughtful landscaping create a cohesive finish throughout.
Understanding the Client’s Needs
The goal was to create a more usable outdoor area that connected different parts of the home while remaining durable and easy to maintain.
- Creating a generous outdoor entertaining area
- Using a durable, low-maintenance decking material
- Improving movement around the home
- Achieving a clean and cohesive finish
How We Got It Done
We designed and constructed the deck to make better use of the front outdoor area while maintaining a strong connection with the existing home.
Planning & Site Preparation
The outdoor areas were assessed to determine deck levels, transitions, drainage and the best way to connect the entertaining space with the pathway around the home. The structure was then prepared to support the new composite decking while working around existing landscaping and architectural features.
Structure, Layout & Drainage
The deck was constructed on a solid foundation designed for long-term durability and outdoor exposure. Careful board spacing helps support drainage and movement, while seamless transitions between the alfresco area and surrounding pathways improve overall flow and usability.
Decking, Screening & Finishing Touches
Rich brown EkoDeck composite boards create a warm, timber-inspired finish while reducing ongoing maintenance. Integrated privacy screening provides additional separation and security, while the central feature tree was retained and built neatly into the decking, adding character and preserving an established part of the landscape.
Delivering the Solution
The completed deck creates a practical outdoor living space with better flow between the alfresco, pathways and surrounding areas of the home. The generous entertainment zone provides plenty of room for relaxing and hosting, while the composite surface keeps ongoing maintenance simple.
Warm brown decking, integrated screening and the retained feature tree give the space a considered and cohesive appearance. Completed in just one week, the result is a durable and inviting outdoor area designed for long-term use.
