Project Highlight
This multi-room renovation in Gordon transformed several outdated wet areas into a cohesive collection of modern, practical and comfortable spaces.
The original oversized main bathroom was reconfigured to create two separate bathrooms, while the laundry and spare shed bathroom were also upgraded to improve functionality and maintain a consistent design throughout the property.
Understanding the Client’s Needs
The existing layout included one large main bathroom that did not make the best use of the available space. The homeowners wanted to improve privacy, functionality and everyday convenience without losing the comfort of a full-sized bathtub.
- Converting the oversized bathroom into two separate spaces
- Retaining a bathtub in the family bathroom
- Creating a private and functional ensuite
- Improving storage and usability in the laundry
- Refreshing the spare bathroom in the shed
- Maintaining a cohesive design across all renovated areas
How We Got It Done
Planning & Site Preparation
Careful planning was essential to ensure the original bathroom could be divided without making either new space feel restricted. The existing wet areas were stripped out and prepared for new walls, revised plumbing and electrical services, waterproofing, tiling, joinery and updated fixtures.
Layout Changes, Services & Waterproofing
The oversized main bathroom was divided into a new family bathroom and private ensuite, with each layout designed around movement, comfort and practical storage. Plumbing and electrical services were adjusted to support the new fixture positions across the bathrooms and laundry. Waterproofing and floor preparation were completed before tiling and installation.
Tiling, Fixtures & Finishing Touches
The family bathroom features a freestanding bathtub, spacious walk-in shower, modern vanity and practical storage. Soft neutral tiles and textured feature surfaces create warmth, while black fixtures add contrast and definition. The ensuite includes a generous walk-in shower, stone-look vanity top, above-counter basin, mirrored storage and matching black tapware. The laundry and shed bathroom were finished with coordinated materials to connect all four spaces.
Delivering the Solution
The completed renovation makes significantly better use of the home’s existing footprint. Dividing the original bathroom created two comfortable and functional spaces while retaining the bathtub and generous shower facilities the homeowners wanted.
Consistent neutral finishes, textured tiles and black fixtures create a cohesive appearance across the bathrooms and laundry. The result is a practical, inviting collection of wet areas designed to improve privacy, storage and everyday convenience.
